With the eighth generation of the Chevrolet Corvette just around the corner, the current generation has become even more desirable. The new generation is going to be the much-awaited, mid-engine version. The Stingray makes for the base model. It is propelled by a 6.2L V8 mated to either a 7-speed manual or 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. This gives it 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque which allows it to reach 0 to 60 in 3.7 sec. This performance is further enhanced by magnetic ride control and suspension, Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There are three trim levels with standard dual 8” screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and much more. The Corvette is also available as a convertible with an electronically folding roof. There is also the Z51 performance package, that adds better suspension, Brembo rotors, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Prices start from just $55,900. Very competitive against the likes of Jaguar F-Type and or any Porsche.
