Affordable offroader.

I was in the market for a subcompact SUV with some off road capabilities, the choice was down to the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 and the Subaru Crosstrek. In the end, we went with the Crosstrek for its interiors and off road capability. The design of the Crosstrek may not be as striking or as modern as the competition, but we liked the subdued look. If you are expecting performance out of the Crosstrek then look elsewhere, the engine does not like to be hustled and is best driven in a sedate manner. As expected from Subaru, the off road ability of the Crosstrek is great for a car in this class. It has always managed to get us out of sticky situations and taken us to places where most cars will fail. The past 6 months with the Crosstrek have been a real joy!
