Cadillac has revealed its latest-generation of Escalade with a robust and sturdy look and more technology than its previous generation. The car gets a new UI alongside a Super Cruise driver assistant for the improved driving experience.

The new Escalade was revealed at a lavish event in Los Angeles. With a comprehensive makeover and a new chassis, the large luxury SUV also gets an independent rear suspension, primarily shared with the new Tahoe and Yukon.

Apart from an independent rear suspension, the vehicle also features adjustable dampers and a fully-adjustable air suspension setup available with a 'magnetic ride control". The changes in the suspension setup of the car allow a lower load floor, thereby creating more space on the inside cabin, majorly for the occupants in the third row.

Interestingly, the magnetic ride control feature of the new Escalade lowers the car by five centimeters when it's parked, enabling easy entry inside. Owners also get the option of increasing the ride height of the vehicle to explore off-road terrains.

Powering the car will be a 6.2-liter V8 engine, generating a maximum power output of 425 hp and peak torque of up to 623 Nm. Cadillac will also offer a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six engine, making 277 hp.

The other significant change in the Escalade is its grown dimension. The automaker has stretched the wheelbase by 4.9 inches in the standard model and by 4.1 inches in the Escalade long-wheelbase trim. Additionally, the SUV's body gets an increased length by 7.1 inches than its outgoing model.

Inside, Cadillac has introduced 38-inch curved OLED screens. The OLED screens, which are a significant game-changer, are responsible for high-resolution display with twice the pixel density of a 4K TV. The 38-inch screens are divided into a total of three screens.

The automaker is offering five trim levels for the new Escalade, namely Luxury, Premium Luxury, Platinum Luxury, Sport and Platinum Sports, with sales to go live in late 2020.
