The Expedition is a full-sized SUV manufactured by Ford that has been in the US market for more than two decades now. Awarded as the ‘2019 Best car for families’, the Ford Expedition is an excellent large SUV with a handsome cabin and plenty of room for adults in all three rows. It also boasts high towing capacity and decent fuel economy.
Ford offers the Expedition in regular and extended wheelbase body types, and each comes in three trim levels: XLT, Limited, and Platinum. The long-wheelbase variant, called the Expedition Max, has about 15 more cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, however, the passenger space is the same in all the variants. The 2019 Ford Expedition looks huge and bold with an enormous frame. The exterior consists of long, straight lines and point-style detailing. Despite being a huge SUV, the Expedition retains a sleek-exterior design. The illuminating LEDs frame the SUV perfectly at both the front and the rear end. At the top, the panoramic-vista sunroof features two panels over the first and the second rows. The front panel opens for an open driving experience. The Expedition comes in a variety of exterior paint schemes - Blue Metallic, Stone Gray, Silver Spruce, magnetic, Ruby Red, White Platinum, Agate Black, Ingot Silver, and the Oxford White, which is available only on the Platinum models. Inside the Expedition, you get top-and-slide seats, six USB ports, and wireless charging option. The huge door openings make entry and exit easy, and unlike some three-row competitors, accessing the third row is very easy. The Expedition’s second row of seats has three complete sets of LATCH child-seat connectors or two in models equipped with captain’s chairs. In the third row, there are two complete sets of car-seat connectors. The Bang & Olufsen sound system along with a rear-seat entertainment center elevates the entertainment experience. This SUV hosts 4G LTE Wi-Fi for serving the internet need. Other features include built-in navigation, SYNC 3 technology, and SiriusXM radio. The 2019 Ford Expedition has the best-in-class towing capacity, thanks to its 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. This engine generates a max power of 375hp at 5,000rpm and a peak torque of 470 pound-feet at 2,250rpm. When attached to Ford's Heavy-Duty trailer package, the Expedition can tow over 9,300 pounds. The vehicle can be easily driven through wet, snowy and gravel surfaces, owing to its terrain management system. The 2019 Expedition's Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Technology ensure smooth driving and better vehicle control on steep hills, while the four-wheel drive system grips the highway for total traction. There are three different engine types which power the 2019 Ford Explorer, making it very much of a high-performance SUV. The three engine options include a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine and the standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. Other features included are Curve Control as well as Roll Stability Control. The base model retails at $52,130, while the top-spec retails at $79, 200 (all prices are MSRP). The 2019 Ford Equinox rivals the Lincoln Navigator and the GMC Yukon.
