Lotus unveils Evora GT410

Lotus unveils its Evora GT410, designed to offer comfort and convenience for everyday use. The Evora GT410 is a more refined European version of the GT410 Sport with some performance improvements.

The more refined European version of the Evora 410 is internally known as ‘Phil’s spec’ because Lotus boss Phil Popham called for its UK launch after trying a quieter, more supple, US-specificities Evora. Lotus revealed that the car is designed to improve comfort in day-to-day use without harming its high-speed capability.

Externally, the Evora GT410 sports new dampers that provide better driving comfort. The car rides on a new wheel-set of 19-inch front and 20-inches at the back with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S all-weather tires instead of the traditional Pilot Sport Cup 2s.

In the rear, the car flaunts a tailgate with a more extensive glass section for better visibility. Interestingly, the updated offering from Lotus gets a body-colored roof, along with the side sills, tailgate, front access panel and side mirror caps. The braking segment gets Red AP Racing brake calipers as standard.

For making it more reliable for regular use, the automaker has added more insulating materials in the car, to reduce the road noise inside the cabin. Additionally, the door trims feature integrated armrests and storage bins for better practicality.

The comfort inside is handled by Sparco sports seats along with an air conditioner and a reverse camera. GT410 also features heated seats, cruise control, and a premium touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support.

When asked about the performance improvements in the car, Lotus’s chief attributes engineer, Gavan Kershaw commented, “It’s still extremely stable and quick,” he also added. “but it’s quieter on coarse surfaces, and it rides ridges better, with smaller impacts. You could say it ‘breathes’ better on challenging road surfaces, which is just what you need if you drive your Evora every day.”

Mechanically, Evora GT410 is identical to the GT410 Sport as it is powered by a similar supercharged 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine, generating a maximum output of 410 hp. A six-speed sports ratio manual handles transmission on this rear-wheel-drive which comes as standard. Users can also opt for a six-speed automatic.

Lastly, the new car gets a price tag of £82,900 ( $91,340).
