Sorento SX Limited Review

With seven seats in a compact body, the Kia Sorento is the midsize SUV for those who don’t want a minivan. The Sorento also packs in a lot of equipment and has a comfortable ride. This puts it head to head against the VW Tiguan and the Hyundai Santa Fe. Its range of 5 trims starts from $26690. The bottom two trims come with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine making 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic. The rest get a 3.3L V6 producing 290 hp and 252 lb-ft while mated to an eight-speed automatic. All trims except for the base can be fitted with all-wheel drive. Standard features are plenty and include rearview camera and 7” touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision avoidance is also available on all except the base trim.
