Audi Q7

The 2019 Audi Q7 hands down one of the most impressive luxury performance crossovers on sale today. With its Plush interiors and hi-tech features, not only is the 2019 Q7 a nice place to be in but its powerful engine also makes it an exciting drive. For the 2019 model, Audi has moved around features across its portfolio and even across the Q7 range. The 2019 Audi Q7 now gets satellite navigation system as standard across all variants. The mid-range Premium Plus version now outfitted with gadgets like a 360 exterior camera system, a wireless smartphone charging pad, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster, and LED head and tail lights as standard.

For the 2019 Q7 Audi now offers the ‘Convenience Package’ across all trims which includes rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring system. There is also an option of picking between two new 21-inch wheel designs and Audi even offers all-season run-flat tires on the optional 20-inch wheels. The exterior also gets style tweaks and features more refreshed fascia which comes with a sharper hexagonal grille and angular headlamps.

Stepping inside the cabin of 2019 Audi Q7, one is greeted by an interior which is a combination of contemporary design and hi-tech gadgetry. There is extensive use of pleasing materials throughout the cabin and the overall build quality is quite impressive. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit makes an appearance but only in the Premium Plus trim. The Virtual Cockpit comes with a second 12.3-inch screen which takes on the infotainment display duties and sits directly in front of the driver's line of sight.

The base model of 2019 Audi Q7 only comes with a standard 7-inch infotainment display which sits atop the dashboard whereas in the more expensive trims customers will get a larger 8.3-inch display. Also standard across all variants are features like 12-volt power outlets and numerous USB ports. Features like 4G-LTE connectivity with Google maps, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility is also on offer for the infotainments system. As an optional extra Audi also offers a 23 speaker, 1920 watts Bang and Olufsen sound system.

The 2019 Audi Q7 is available in three trims which offer a total of 5 model options. The base Premium trim features two models and customers can choose from either or 2-liter or 3-liter turbocharged powerplant and the two models feature a $53,550 and $59,950 price tags, respectively. The Premium Plus trim also comes with a choice of 2-liter and 3-liter engines which are price at $56,900 and $63,300, respectively. The top-of-the-line Prestige trim only features the more powerful 3-liter motor which produces 329 BHP of power and 325 lb-ft of torque. 

The turbocharged engine comes mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission which comes with Audi’s trademarked Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 2019 Audi Q7 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 5.7 seconds. The 2-liter unit produces 248 BHP of power and 273 lb-ft of torque when paired with the same 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. According to EPA estimates, the 2-liter engine is capable of offering a combined fuel economy of 21 mpg which is the same as that of the 3-liter motor.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has awarded the 2019 Audi Q7 with a 5-star crash safety rating and the premium crossover gets safety features like automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning as standard.
