Audi’s flagship luxury truck, the 2019 Q8 manages to offer sedan-like characteristics without compromising its SUV capabilities. In the 2019 Avatar, the exteriors of Audi Q8 now feature tweaked design accents which comes with a new octagonal grille and angular headlamps in the front.

The hood and sides of the 2019 Audi Q8 feature prominent character lines and raked roofline which distinguishes it from the three-row Q7 sibling. The interiors of the 2019 Q8 feature a sophisticated design which incorporates extensive use of pleasing premium materials throughout the cabin. The panels are designed and offer high-quality fit and finish. The base model gets heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof as standard whereas the four-zone climate control and leather dashboard with contrasting stitching is only offered on the more expensive trims.

The top of the line model gets a dual-pane glass, massaging feature front seats, heads up display, customizable ambient interior lighting, and upgraded leather surfaces. The center console is dominated by a pair of large haptic feedback touch screens which take the infotainment system duties in the 2019 Q8. Features like Apple CarPlay Android Auto and 4G-LTE powered mobile Wi-Fi hotspot comes standard across all variants along with ergonomic steering wheel controls and voice command facility. Customers also get a choice of two Bang and Olufsen audio systems and a wireless charging feature. Audi also offers its Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster with a navigation system and configurable settings as standard in the 2019 Q8.

Audi Q8 is available in three trim levels starting from Premium featuring a price tag of $67,400, followed by the Premium Plus trim priced at $71,400 and lastly the Prestige trim featuring prices starting at $76,550. All three trim levels share the same 3-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged gas-power unit which produces 335 BHP of power and 369 lb-ft off torque. This engine is part of a hybrid powertrain which also comes with a 48-volt motor and 9.6 ah lithium-ion battery. The hybrid powertrain comes mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system which helps the 2019 Q8 propel from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. According to EPA estimates, the 2019 Audi Q8 can offer a combined fuel economy of 19 mpg.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the 2019 Q8 with a five-star crash test safety rating. The flagship SUV was also named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Safety and driver assistance features like forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking come standard across all 2019 Q8 models. More advanced safety options like stop and go technology, night vision with pedestrian detection, 360-degree camera, and adaptive cruise control are only offered in the more expensive trim levels. The 2019 Audi Q8 is offered with a 4 year or 50,000 miles limited warranty which also applies to its powertrain. Q8 also gets 24 hour roadside assistance and a complimentary maintenance cover visit in the first year or at 10,000 miles.
