The Ford Transit Connect can be your station wagon, minivan or van. It looks smart and behaves like a car. However, there is no diesel in the works anymore. There are two trim levels, two wheelbase lengths, and two rear door options. The two trims being either a stripped-out van or a passenger wagon. The LWB van can manage 127.4 cu-ft of cargo space behind the front seats with 1510 lb of loading capacity. As a passenger van, it can seat five or seven people. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder unit churning out 150 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque and mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 2.5L inline 4 engine is also available. Creature comforts include a standard 6.5” touchscreen infotainment supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and dual-zone climate control. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and lane departure warning are optional extras. Starting prices range from $24275 to $32250.
