The Nissan Rogue showcases a clean exterior with nothing much to brawl about the cosmetics but it doesn’t fail to offer a complete box of much-expected specs. The front features a wide trapezoidal LED headlamps but a narrow grille that houses the brand’s logo. The LED units also contain the turn indicators. Moving to the rear, the LED taillights starts from the boot lid and extends to the rear end of the side profile. The roof spoiler has an antenna at its end for GPS and other connectivity.
The Rogue is a five-seater SUV with a good amount of legroom and headroom available in the interior. Moreover, the rear seats are adjustable and can be tilted or slid to create additional space, if needed. Furthermore, the vehicle has its interiors made up of high-end materials that are soft to touch. Cloth upholstery is standard but leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are available optionally. It features a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, satellite radio, and Bluetooth.
Moreover, there are 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space and 70 cubic feet of space when the second row is folded. The massive cargo space is one of the major highlights of this vehicle and the availability of a hands-free power liftgate proves to be a cherry on the cake.

You can easily decipher that the Rogue chooses comfort over pleasing cosmetics. While there is nothing much to tell about its looks, there is much to be marked in bold when it comes to comfort. The compact size allows easy and efficient parking and overall it manages to perform smoothly while coasting and taking turns.
Nissan Rogue Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Nissan Rogue comes in three trims - S, SV, and SL, all of them in both AWD and FWD options. Under the hood, it gets a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder mill that can churn out 170 hp power and 175 Nm torque. There is not much to complain about its performance but for some reason, the vehicle looks a bit under-tuned and underpowered when compared to its competitors. The automatic transmission is available across all the variants. Rogue is close enough to an ideal city driving vehicle but struggles a lot while acceleration. Sometimes it produces an irking noise.
What is not irking is the mileage of this crossover. The front-wheel-drive delivers an outstanding mileage of over 26 mpg on the city roads and around 33 mpg on highways. On the other hand, the all-wheel-drive offers 25mpg and 32mpg on city roads and highways, respectively.
Rogue Braking & Safety
Rogue was accoladed with the highest rating of ‘Good’ in five crash test categories by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It is equipped with countless safety features that include pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, intelligent lane intervention, high-beam assist, rear cross traffic alert, and a rearview camera. The high-end variants are also bestowed with ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system that helps to maintain a constant distance and speed behind other cars.
Nissan Rogue Verdict
The Nissan Rogue may not fall in the category of your dream SUV but it is also no less than a powerful vehicle. The noisy drivetrain and engine throttle while accelerating the car may sound disappointing but it is not enough to outcast the fuel-efficiency, spacious cargo and a number of safety features.
