Nissan Titan Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
Nissan Titan is the heavy-duty pickup truck built on the full-length Ladder frame and is available with the starting prices of $30,690. It’s available in the three different bed lengths: Single Cab- 5 feet, King Cab- 6 feet 5 inches, and Crew Cab 8 feet. This year’s Titan displays the same inside and out design as of the previous year model, but Nissan has introduced some new standard features among all the grades. And, from the base model, you’ll get a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for seamless connectivity and entertainment. Along with these features, you’ll also get Bluetooth streaming and USB connectivity. While the Fender audio system is also introduced with the new Titan but it’s available with only SL Crew Cab and Platinum Crew Cab models of the Titan. Like this, the Nissan Rear Door Alert system is now available with Crew Cab and King Cab grades. In terms of the overall performance, Nissan Titan is the right truck for off-road needs. It is powered by the 5.6L V8 engine mated with the 7-speed automatic transmission. Titan's engine proves to be one of the most powerful in the segment. All these features and specifications make Titan a close competitor against Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, Ford F-150 and Ram 1500.

Nissan Titan Interior & Features
Like the solid exteriors, Titan is built solid from inside too. The cabin looks a bit dated in 2019, but it remains quiet on highways and extends upscale feel with comfortable seats and a spacious cabin. Overall the ride quality is fine, but larger bumps may degrade it a little. In terms of features, dual-zone automatic climate control keeps the cabin fresh and relaxed, and for rear passengers, Titan comes equipped with rear air conditioning vents. In terms of infotainment, the 7-inch touchscreen is standard among all the grades, but it doesn’t resemble the theme of the cabin and looks odd. Also, when in direct sunlight, it’s difficult to see and operate the touchscreen. This year’s Titan is equipped with standard Android Auto and Apple Carplay, but connecting your smartphone via it is quite intricate. Other than this, the cabin is thoroughly designed to create the impact of the crossovers, but extensive use of hard plastics results in cheap character. However, with the optional Fender 12-speaker system, Titan balances the good and unsatisfactory features of the cabin.
Titan Exterior
The unchanged exterior of the Titan reflects back the same design and elements as of its previous year model. When compared to its rivals, Titan stands out from the flock with a distinctive appearance. The front fascia is aggressive, but not too bald and overly expressive. That’s the beauty of Titan, it still looks relevant in 2019 and steals the show with its mesmerizing out of the frame extended wide and body-colored grills. On the sides, the C-shaped daytime running lamps and likewise designed automatic headlights fit with the turbulent nature of the Titan. Being available in three bed lengths and six grades, Titan offers plenty of class-leading exterior features, such as electronic tailgate lock, sidestep assist, chrome exhaust, front aero spoiler, etc. But, when it comes to the base grade, it surely misses a lot of these features.
Nissan Titan Ride & Handling
Titan is a daily-drive truck, it delivers good ride quality with exhilarating engine performance and perfect steering. However, its massive size requires ample space while parking and taking U-turns. The independent double-wishbone suspension in the front comes with a stabilizer bar. While in the rear, you’ll get multi-leaf suspension with the solid axle and stabilizer bar. Still, in the case of bumps, the ride quality suffers and deteriorates the cabin comfort.
Titan Engine & Fuel Consumption
Titan illustrates a robust performance with the direct-injected 5.6L V8 diesel engine. This engine ensures strong throttle response and quick acceleration, in fact, it only takes 7 seconds for Titan to get from 0–60 mph. In terms of numbers, the 5.6L V8 engine can produce a 390 hp at 5,800 rpm and torque of 394 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm. To enable seamless power transfer, this engine is coupled with the 7-speed automatic transmission, that’s standard among all the grades of Titan. This pickup truck is capable of towing up to 9,600 pounds and manages to deliver exceptional mileage of 15 mpg in cities and 21 mpg on highways.
Nissan Titan Braking & Safety
Each grade and variant of Titan is equipped with the standard braking system and brake assistance features. The front wheels come equipped with the 13.78" x 1.2" vented disc brakes and rear wheels are equipped with the 13.58" x 0.8" vented disc brakes. Despite it, the braking capacity of Titan is not too good. But, still being a full-size truck it can get from 60–0 mph in just 129 feet. In terms of brake assistance, you’ll get 4-wheel ABS, EBD, and Brake Assist. While Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are optional. Like the standard braking features, Nissan Titan is appointed with the standard safety features which include airbags with seat belt sensors, active brake limited slip, vehicle dynamic control, tire pressure monitoring alert, and vehicle dynamic control with the traction control system.
Titan Verdict
Nissan has smartly outranked Ford, RAM, and Chevy trucks by offering Titan in three-bed lengths. Titan is available with rear and four-wheel drive and is powered by the 5.6L V8 diesel engine that gets you the best of both worlds. Titan delivers strong throttle power while ensuring 15 mpg fuel efficiency in the city. However, Titan is let down by some factors which are appreciable in its competitors, like moderate interiors and low towing capability. But, Nissan offers 5 years/100,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty with Titan, whereas its rivals offer 3 years/36,000 miles warranty.
