Step inside the cabin and the Ford Super Duty feels incredible large, wide and roomy here too. One does get a very heightened seating posture, which is even superior than most of the full-size flagship SUVs. The dual-tone black and brown theme looks premium, while the soft-touch dashboard panels make it feel plush as well.

The thick T-themed steering wheel with silver finish looks and feels very great, while at the same time, the modern instrument console behind it makes you feel that it is a vehicle from the current generation. The vertical pentagonal AC vents look large and nice with silver finish around it. The centre console, with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the middle, feels a bit old school with an array of buttons for audio and climate control below it. This is a good thing, considering the rich heritage of Super Duty built all these years.

Given its high-end appeal, the Ford Super Duty is packed with features in the higher variants, like heated, cooled and electrically adjustable seats with memory function powered steering wheel and pedals, remote start system, voice-activated navigation, and infotainment system and many more.

The Ford Super Duty simply surpasses all the mighty SUVs and limousines as far as road presence is concerned. The pickup simply looks gargantuan and makes every other vehicle on the street look dwarfed in front of it.

They say, the first impression is the best impression, and the Ford Super Duty simply creates a strong one with the very blingy and massive front fascia. The C-shaped full LED headlamps, with daytime running LEDs on its outer boundaries, do encase a large rectangular grille made entirely of chrome. This gives the Ford Super Duty a don’t-mess-with-me attitude. Even the front bumper is made entirely of chrome, which adds to the overall bling.

Thanks to flared wheel arches, large squared side windows, too high ground clearance and extended design for outside rearview mirrors, the Ford Super Duty has got a robust and built-to-last appeal to it. While most of the pickups look very plain at the rear, the Ford Super Duty tries to position itself slightly higher from others by having a large centralised Ford logo and wide fonts of Super Duty embossed below it.

In its best form, the Ford Super Duty has strong underpinnings, with wide track mono beam with stabilizer bar and heavy-duty gas springs at the front and solid axle with leaf springs and heavy-duty gas springs at the rear. Being a sturdy pick up truck, the Ford Super Duty has a very capable four-wheel-drive system as well as class-leading towing and payload capacities.

It is not only the dimensions of the Ford Super Duty which are extra-large, as the pickup has been bestowed with equally massive engine options under its hood. Firstly, there is a 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine, which pumps out 388PS of power and 583Nm of torque. And then there is a 6.7-litre V8 diesel engine, which produces 455PS of power and 1268Nm of torque. While the engines offer sheer performance levels, the 6-speed torque converter mated to both the engines feel slightly sluggish. Also, the fuel efficiency too is not that appreciable.

The Ford Super Duty packs in a long list of safety features, which apart from the conventional ones like front, side and curtain airbags, ABS and EBD, also includes adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, individual trailer tire pressure monitoring system, lane-keeping alert, roll stability control, trailer sway control and blind spot information system with trailer coverage.

The Ford Super Duty simply has got a tremendous street presence and hefty proportions, which is impressive enough to make others give you respect on the road. With greatness in its performance and ride quality as well as comfortable and plush interiors, the Super Duty rightly deserves to be at the top of the game of pickups.
